A good friend wants your life to improve even when improvement changes your availability.

Improvement usually costs availability. The new job, the relationship, the training, the move all take hours from somewhere, and often the hours come out of friendships. Someone who genuinely wants your life to get better will accept that cost rather than treating it as a loss they are owed compensation for. That is a real generosity, because it is not free to them.
When your life expands, tell your friends what is happening so the reduced contact is not read as indifference. And when a friend gets busier for a good reason, resist the urge to keep score. Say you are glad and mean it.
Whose success made you feel left behind rather than glad?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
