In an argument, “fair point” costs you nothing and makes you the person worth arguing with.

LEADERSHIP
Conceding a single point does not cost you the argument. It proves you are listening rather than waiting for your turn. Most people treat any admission as surrender, so they defend everything and end up persuading nobody. Give ground where the other side is right and your remaining claims get taken more seriously, not less.
Try it in your next disagreement, out loud, the first time somebody says something true. Then carry on with what you still think. Arguments with you become worth having, and that is how you end up in the room when things get decided.
Are you somebody people find worth arguing with?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
