Not sharing everything is not the same as hiding something.

Withholding gets read as concealment, particularly by people who share everything. But there is a large territory between full disclosure and deception, and most of an ordinary life is in it. Choosing what to say is not the same as constructing a false picture. The distinction matters because the accusation is used to pry.

If you are accused of hiding something because you kept something private, do not over-explain to prove innocence. Explanation invites more questions. A simple statement that some things are just yours holds better than a defense.
