Telling someone “I trust you with this” can lift their effort more than any reward.

Being trusted out loud changes how a job feels. A task you were handed is work, but a task somebody believed you could handle becomes partly about not letting them down. That is not manipulation, it is just how people are built, and most of us go whole years without hearing it said plainly.
Find the person who would be most surprised to be trusted with something, and give them a real piece of the work. Say the sentence as well as handing over the task. Then stay out of it long enough for them to actually do it.
Who have you never told that you trust them?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
