When you get a leadership role, write down why you wanted it. Read it again when the job gets annoying.

LEADERSHIP
Every role is attractive from outside and tedious in the middle, and by the time the tedious part arrives you will have forgotten what you were after. Your own words from the beginning are more persuasive than anything anyone else can offer, because you cannot dismiss them as not understanding. They also tell you honestly whether the reason still holds.
Write a few lines now about what you wanted from this and keep them somewhere you will find them again. Read it on the worst week. If the reason has gone, that is information rather than failure.
Why did you want the responsibility you now find annoying?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
