When someone’s ready, hand them the harder version of the job. Easy forever feels like you don’t trust them.

LEADERSHIP
Keeping somebody on easy work feels protective and lands as a verdict. People read the size of the job they are given as your estimate of them, so being left on the simple thing forever says you do not believe they can handle more. Being stretched slightly past comfortable is how most of us learn we were capable.
Think of one person who has outgrown what they do, and give them the harder version this month. Tell them you expect it to stretch a bit. Stay near enough to help and far enough that it stays theirs.
Who around you has outgrown the job you keep giving them?
