Campers can tell fast whether a counselor actually wants to be there. So can every team you’ll ever lead.
LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP
Whether you want to be somewhere shows in a way that cannot be managed, and children read it fastest because they are watching more closely than anyone. Adults are only politer about having noticed. A group works out within a day whether their leader is counting down the hours, and it changes how much they give you.
Decide honestly whether you want this role, and if you do, let that show in how you arrive. If you do not, either find the part you can care about or make room for somebody else. Pretending is the one option that does not work.
Can the people you lead tell you want to be there?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
