Leaders who never take a day off teach their team that burnout is the price of caring.

People copy what the person in charge does, not what they recommend. Working constantly broadcasts that rest is for the less committed, so anybody who wants to be taken seriously does the same and hides it when they cannot keep up. You end up with a group that is tired, quietly resentful and unable to say so. Your own habits are setting the rules whether you meant them to or not.
Take an actual evening or day off this week and let people see you do it. Say you are unavailable rather than pretending to be busy elsewhere. Tell somebody else to go home when they should.
What are you teaching people by never resting?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
