Count what you learned this week, not what you finished. Some weeks are slow and still matter.

Finished tasks are easy to count, so they become the measure of a week by default, and anything that moved slowly looks like nothing at all. Learning does not line up with output. Some weeks you get very little done and understand something you will use for years, and that never appears on a list of ticked boxes. Measuring only completion quietly trains you to avoid hard things.
At the end of this week, write down what you understand now that you did not on Monday. One or two lines. Keep it beside the list of what you finished and give both equal weight.
