Good questions usually start small. “What’s this part called?” opens bigger doors than “explain everything.”

A small question has a shape somebody can answer, and that is the whole reason it works. Asking for everything hands the job of deciding what you need to the other person, so you get either a lecture or nothing. One named part gives you a handle, and handles lead to the next question on their own.
Find the smallest thing you do not know inside whatever is confusing you and ask only that. The name of a tool, the meaning of one symbol. Follow wherever it opens instead of saving up for a bigger question.
What small thing could you ask instead of asking for everything?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
