Remember the moment you were proudest of. It was probably about effort or people, not stuff.

Pride has a particular source and it is rarely a purchase. When people go looking for their best moment it tends to be something they worked hard for, or something they did for somebody else, and almost never an object they acquired. Things are satisfying for a fortnight. Effort and people leave a mark you can still feel years later.

Bring one of those moments to mind and ask what made it count. Then look at what you are currently chasing and see whether it is the same kind of thing. If it is not, there is usually a small version of the better kind available this week.
