Not every hard thing has an explanation waiting at the end of enough thinking. Some events are simply unreasonable, and hunting for a reason can keep a wound open in the name of understanding it. Carrying something is different from resolving it. People live full lives with a few unanswered things in the bag.
If something is sitting unresolved, you might let it be unresolved for a while rather than working on it. Put your effort into the parts of the week that are responsive. Nobody is waiting on you to produce an explanation.
