Never bargain away something you have not calculated the cost of replacing.

RESILIENCE
It is easy to trade away something you have stopped noticing. A right, a piece of flexibility, a relationship, a term that has never mattered yet. The cost only becomes visible when you need it back and discover what replacing it takes, if it can be replaced. Familiarity makes assets look cheap.
Before conceding anything, ask what you would have to do to get it back. If the answer is difficult or impossible, price it accordingly. Some things should be traded only for a great deal.
What have you traded away without knowing the cost of regaining it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
