Loneliness tells you nobody cares. Often somebody does. They just don’t know you need them.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Loneliness is a poor reporter. It presents an absence of contact as evidence of an absence of care, and the two are not the same thing at all. People are mostly not withholding; they are busy, and they assume that if something were wrong you would say so. The gap is information, not affection.
Rather than waiting to be noticed, tell one person a true thing about how your week has been. It does not have to be dramatic, just accurate. Nobody can act on something they were never told.
What would you have to say out loud to be helped?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
