Meaning isn’t found lying around. It’s built from what you keep choosing to care about.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Caring is an act, not a reaction. You do not stumble on a thing that is already important; you make something important by putting attention into it repeatedly. That is why two people can look at the same job and only one of them finds it meaningful. The difference is not the object.
Choose one thing to care about more deliberately this term, and let the caring be visible: show up early, learn the details, take it seriously in front of people. Give it a month before you judge whether it took. Meaning is slow and responds to being fed.
What have you chosen to care about for years now?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
