Your life isn’t a resume. Some of the best parts will never fit on one.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
A resume keeps only what a stranger can read in six seconds: titles, dates, numbers that went up. Most of what makes a life yours has no column for it. Looking after a sibling, the friend you talked through a bad night, learning to fix a bike, four years with a team that never won anything.
Keep a second list somewhere private, of things you are proud of that no application will ever ask about. Add one to it this week, and read it on the days the official version looks thin.
What are you proudest of that no application would list?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
