It’s not a waste if you learned you hated it. Now you know.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Discovering that something is not for you is information you could not have got any other way. A year of a subject, a sport or a job that ended in a clear no has narrowed the field, and narrowing the field is most of how anybody finds their thing. The real waste would be leaving without noticing what you learned.
Write down what specifically you disliked, because the detail matters more than the verdict. Being bored by the work is a different finding from disliking the people, and only the detail tells you what to try next.
What did you hate enough to rule out forever?
