A game isn’t the replay package. Most of it was ordinary minutes that made the big ones possible.

Highlights are made by deleting almost everything, which gives a false impression of what a game actually is. Most of it is positioning, jogging back, a pass that goes nowhere in particular. Those plain minutes are what put the big moment within reach, and they are the first thing cut from the edit.
At your next practice or game, choose one unglamorous job and do it properly the whole way through, like getting back on defence every time. Judge the day on that rather than on whether anything spectacular happened.
