An eclipse doesn’t hurt the sun. Being covered for a few minutes doesn’t change what you are.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Being hidden and being diminished are two different conditions. A few minutes of something passing in front of it changes nothing about what the sun is or how much it is putting out, and the same holds when you get overlooked, left off a list, or beaten by somebody louder. What you can do is not limited to what others can currently see.

If you are in a covered stretch, keep working to the same standard while nobody is watching. Let the account of one person who does see it outweigh the silence.
