Under a microscope, a leaf looks like a city. Zoom in on your own life and you’ll find more going on than you thought.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Detail does not run out when you look closer, it increases. A leaf at high magnification turns out to be busier than a town, and your own life behaves the same way the moment you stop summarising it. What feels like nothing much is usually a summary written from too far away.
Write down everything that happened yesterday in detail, dull parts included. The length of the list is the point, and it is a fair answer to the feeling that nothing is going on.
