Ask a nurse about their hardest day and their best one. Both will be about people.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Ask anyone in a caring job about their extremes and the answers almost never involve equipment, pay or paperwork. The worst day is a person they could not help. The best is a person who walked out. Whatever the job description says, the work turns out to be made of people, and that is true of far more jobs than the ones with uniforms.
If you know somebody who works in care, ask them both questions this week and let them take their time. It will tell you more about choosing work than any careers talk will.
Whose best and worst workdays would you like to hear?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
