Self-awareness begins when you notice what you keep accusing everyone else of doing.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
The accusation you reach for most often tends to describe something in you. Not always, but often enough that the pattern is worth watching. What you cannot tolerate in others is frequently what you have not looked at directly in yourself, which is why it registers so quickly and provokes so much heat.
Think of the criticism you make most often about other people. Then ask, without punishing yourself, whether any version of it applies to you in a form you have not named. The honest answer usually explains a lot about why that particular thing bothers you so much.
What do you criticise in others that you also do?
