Being “chill” about everything sometimes just means you never said what you wanted.

Agreeableness can be a real temperament and it can also be a hiding place. If you never mind where you eat, never mind which film, never mind being left out, some of that is easiness and some is a habit of not saying what you wanted and calling it relaxed. The cost arrives slowly, as a sense that nobody knows your preferences, including you.

State one preference this week, plainly, with no joke attached to soften it. Where you want to eat is a fine place to start. Notice that the room survives it.
