When you call yourself lazy, ask if you’re actually tired, bored or scared. Each one has a different fix.

REFLECTION
Lazy is a lid you put on top of something more specific, and the lid stops you from solving it. Tired needs sleep or food. Bored needs a harder or stranger version of the task. Scared needs the first two minutes done badly so the fear has nothing left to guard. One word, three completely different repairs.
Next time the homework sits untouched, ask which of the three it is before you call yourself anything. Then apply the matching fix: a nap, a change of format, or two minutes of visibly imperfect work.
What was really going on the last time you stalled?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
