Ego says “look at me.” Confidence says “let’s see.”

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Ego needs an audience and a verdict. The other posture is curious about what happens next, which means it can afford to find out it was wrong. Ego arrives already finished and spends the whole time defending the finished version. Someone genuinely settled can walk into a tryout, a test, a first shift, and treat the result as information.

Notice which of the two is running when you are about to do something hard this week. If it is ego, shift the question from how you look to what you want to learn. Then do the thing and watch what the answer is.
