You’re allowed to not like the show everybody loves. Saying so politely is just being honest.

Agreement is not a membership fee. A thing can be popular, well made, important to your friends, and still leave you cold, and none of that means you missed something. Pretending otherwise is a small lie that costs you a little credibility every time, because people can tell the difference between an opinion and an echo.

Say it plainly next time, with a reason and no sneer: it was not for you, and here is the part that lost you. Then ask what they see in it. That conversation is more fun than nodding along, for both of you.
