Being the youngest in a room of adults is an advantage if you ask good questions. They remember the curious kid.

REFLECTION
Adults expect very little from the young person in the room, which is exactly what makes a real question land. Nobody there has to protect their status from you, so they tend to answer properly and at length. The curious one gets remembered, and remembered is how the next opportunity arrives, often as somebody thinking of you months later for a reason you never saw.
Go into the next room full of adults with two questions prepared. Ask how they decide things, or what they got wrong early, rather than about themselves in general. Then listen, and thank the person by name afterwards.
What would you ask the adults in the room next time?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
