Hope isn’t a plan, but it’s a decent reason to make one.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
On its own, hope changes nothing: wanting the thing does not move it closer, and plenty of people have waited years on the strength of a feeling. What it is good for is motive. You do not start a plan without some belief that the effort could land, and that belief is what gets the first unglamorous step done on a Tuesday.
Take the thing you have been hoping about and write the next three actions under it, each small enough to finish in an hour. Do the first one this week. Hope stays useful exactly as long as something concrete is attached to it.
What are you hoping for without any plan behind it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
