Motivation is a visitor. Routine is a roommate.

REFLECTION
Motivation arrives unpredictably, stays a while and leaves without warning, which makes it a poor foundation for anything. Routine is dull and present. It keeps working on the mornings you feel nothing at all, because it never asks how you feel before it starts.
Choose one thing you want to get better at and attach it to a time rather than a mood. Fifteen minutes after dinner beats an hour whenever inspiration shows up. Keep it small enough that you would still do it tired, since tired is the condition it has to survive.
Which routine of yours survives without any motivation at all?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
