Once you have a little sibling, you’re never just trying things. You’re demonstrating them.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Little kids watch what you do far more closely than what you say, and they are not evaluating it, they are copying it. How you take a loss, how you speak to your parents, how you treat somebody serving you all gets filed as what normal looks like. You never applied for the job and you have it anyway.
Choose one behaviour you would be glad to see in them in five years and do that one deliberately this week. Let them watch you apologize, or study, or walk away from something stupid. You do not have to be flawless; mostly they need to see somebody correcting course.
Who copies you without you realising you are teaching them?
