You don’t need permission to get into something new. Nobody’s checking your file.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Most of the gate you are waiting at is imaginary. You picture a panel deciding whether you are allowed to start chess or welding or songwriting at sixteen, and no such panel exists, mostly because nobody is paying that much attention. What actually stands in the way is the first awkward hour of being obviously new.
Take one unglamorous step this week toward the thing you have been circling: watch a beginner video, turn up to the club meeting, borrow the gear from somebody who has it. Tell nobody beforehand. Being bad at something quietly is allowed, and it is how everyone starts.
Whose approval are you waiting for before starting something new?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
