Every bridge has a weight limit posted. People have one too. They just don’t put up a sign.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Capacity is real and mostly unannounced. The people you lean on, including the ones who always say yes, are carrying a load you cannot see, and the limit never gets mentioned until something gives. The same goes for yours. Nobody is weak for reaching it, they just do not come with a number painted on the side.

Say your limit out loud this week before you hit it, to a coach, a manager or a friend, in plain words about what you can and cannot take on. Then ask somebody who always helps you how much they actually have spare.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Who has never asked what you are carrying?
