Autocorrect is confident and wrong a lot. So are some of the loudest voices in your life.

Certainty and accuracy have almost nothing to do with each other. A phone will rewrite your sentence without hesitation and produce nonsense, and people operate the same way, because confidence is a personality trait rather than proof of knowing. The ones who sound most sure are often just the ones least troubled by doubt. Volume is not a credential.

When somebody tells you something with total assurance this week, ask how they know. Watch whether the answer is a reason or the same claim said louder. Weigh what people say by their track record rather than their tone, your own voice included.
