A clean whiteboard is scarier than a messy one. Starting is hard because there’s nothing to fix yet.

Editing is easy and generating is hard, which is why an empty page makes you want to tidy your room instead. With nothing on the board every option is open and nothing is wrong yet, so there is no handhold and no obvious next move. Once anything exists, even something poor, you switch into the mode you are good at.
Put something deliberately bad down in the first five minutes this week: a title, a wrong answer, a rough shape. Do not evaluate it. Then work by fixing what is there, which is a different and far easier job.
How long have you been circling that blank page?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
