A drawbridge opens to let big things through, then closes again. Boundaries can move and still be boundaries.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

A limit you can choose to open is still a limit. People assume a boundary has to be absolute to count, so they either hold a rule rigidly or abandon it the first time they make an exception, when the useful version is a rule with a keeper. You decide what gets through and when. Flexibility only becomes a problem when somebody else holds the controls.

If you bend a rule this week, say why to yourself and then put it back. Watch for the case where you are opening it because somebody pushed. Deciding on purpose is the whole difference.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Which rule of yours could bend once without breaking?
