Rivers drop their richest soil where they slow down. Your best growth might be in your slow stretch.

Fast water carries soil and never puts it anywhere. Only when a river widens and slows does it lay down the ground that things grow in, which is a strange thing to learn when you are being told to keep moving. Slow stretches get a bad name because nothing visible is happening. That is usually when the useful deposits are being made, quietly, where nobody is clapping.
If this is a slow season for you, stop measuring it by output. Name one thing you are getting better at underneath, then give it two hours this week.
What grew in you during a season that felt slow?
