A charger cord frays at the end that bends most. Your weak spots are usually where you get stressed most often.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Things fail where they flex. A cord gives out at the end that gets bent a thousand times, not at the strongest point or the weakest material, and people wear through in the same predictable places. Whatever you are repeatedly put under, a certain class, a certain person, mornings, being told no in public, that is where the fraying is. Knowing the location is more useful than pretending the stress is evenly spread.

Name the bend. Then decide one small protection for it this week, a buffer of ten minutes, food beforehand, a friend who knows to check on you after.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Where in your week do you bend the same way repeatedly?
