Ambition works on the same principle. The bigger the thing you are reaching for, the more you need something immovable at the back: sleep you protect, people who know you, a rule you do not break when it gets hard.

Name your counterweight. If you cannot, pick one thing this week to make non negotiable, and keep it on the day it is inconvenient.
