A fire smothered with too much wood goes out. Even good things can choke what you’re trying to build.

Too much of a good input can put out the thing it was feeding. Pile wood on a young fire and you smother the air it needs, and a plan or a skill can be buried the same way. Too many ideas, too many clubs, too much advice, too many people helping. Nothing in the pile is bad, and the fire still goes out, because what it needed was room.
Look at what you are feeding too much. Take one thing off the pile this week and leave the space empty rather than filling it with something else.
Which good thing have you piled on until it stalled?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
