A coin sorter works by size, not by value. The world sorts people that way too sometimes. Don’t believe it.

Sorting by the easiest visible feature is fast and tells you nothing about value. A machine separates coins by diameter because diameter is cheap to measure, and the world does the same thing to people using height, accent, clothes, school, whose kid you are. It is not a conspiracy, it is laziness, and laziness is extremely common. The sort being quick does not make it accurate.
When you get sorted this week by something that is not actually you, let it be wrong without taking it on. Then find one person you sorted by size and look again.
