Boats in a harbor sit in the mud at low tide and float again later. Being grounded for a while isn’t being wrecked.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

There is a difference between stuck and finished, and from the inside they feel identical. A low season can leave you sitting on the bottom, not moving, not useful to anyone, and none of that is damage. Conditions change on their own schedule, and much of what looks like failure is just the water being somewhere else for now.

If you are in one of those stretches, you do not have to force it to end. Keep the boat sound: sleep, eat, stay in touch with one or two people. When the water comes back you want to be ready to float, not rebuilt from the keel up.
