Giving away credit is the strange way people end up respecting you more.

Claiming credit looks like the route to being valued and usually is not. People can feel the difference between someone gathering praise and someone handing it out, and the second is rare enough to stand out. Naming other people’s contributions also shows you had a clear enough view of the work to see them, which is its own kind of competence.
Say somebody’s name out loud this week when something goes well. In the group chat, in front of a coach, to a manager who did not see it happen. Do it when it costs you a little, and do not add your own part on the end.
Whose help could you credit publicly on your next win?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
