A smoke detector that never goes off is either working or broken. Test the things you trust.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Silence from something you depend on proves nothing either way. The absence of a problem can mean the safeguard is working, or that it quietly stopped working months ago, and from outside those look identical. Anything you rely on without checking is a guess you have stopped noticing you made.

Test one assumption this week. Check that the alarm really rings on a weekend, that the money is where you think it is, that the file saved. And ask the friend who never complains how they are actually doing, since not hearing about it is not the same as it being fine.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Which thing you rely on have you never actually tested?
