Water freezing in a crack can split a rock open. Small things repeated long enough break big things.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Repetition is stronger than size. Nothing about one cold night is powerful, but the same small pressure applied over and over finds a weakness and widens it until something gives. That works in your favour with practice and against you with the habits you keep excusing, because the mechanism does not care which direction it runs.

Put one small thing on repeat this week: ten minutes of the instrument, one page, one set. Then find a small thing already on repeat that is working against you, and break the chain once. Both directions are available to you.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Which small repeated thing is wearing something important down?
