Some records are made of material that quietly gives up. Paper that looked permanent on the day goes blank in a drawer, and by the time you need the proof there is nothing on it, which is the worst possible moment to find out. Storage is a decision, even when you make it by default.
Move one thing this week into a format that will survive. Photograph the receipt for the thing you saved up for. Put the account number somewhere other than one phone, and email yourself the document that exists in only one place.
What memory would you lose if you never recorded it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
