The same force that gets a reluctant person moving will, past a certain level, shut them down completely, and from outside that looks like they stopped caring. Encouragement and heat are the same thing at different intensities.
Check the temperature you are applying this week, to somebody else or to yourself. If a sibling, a teammate or a friend has gone quiet under your enthusiasm, ease off and see what happens. Growth needs warm rather than hot.
