You’ll send applications into silence for a while. That’s not a verdict on you. It’s how hiring works.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Silence after an application is almost never a message. Most places are slow, understaffed and do not reply to anybody, so the absence of an answer carries no information about you at all, even though it feels like being assessed and found wanting. You are reading a system as a judgement.
Treat it as a process with a volume requirement this week. Keep a list of what you sent and when, send a few more, and stop refreshing your inbox. If something matters, follow it up once after ten days and then leave it.
What silence are you reading as a judgment of you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
