A recipe card that says “cook until done” assumes you’ll stand there and pay attention. Most of life does too.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Instructions can only carry part of the job. The rest assumes a person present, watching, adjusting, which is why a vague recipe works for one cook and fails for another. Plenty of plans are written the same way: they tell you what to do and silently require you to be paying attention while you do it.
Treat the open-ended parts of your week as the ones that need you actually there. Studying with the phone face down, watching the pan instead of the screen, listening to the whole answer. Where something says until done, assume that means you have to be the one judging it.
Where does your attention matter more than any instruction?
