Some ideas need to sit in the back of your mind for a while. Not every idea is ready the moment you have it.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

An idea at the moment of arrival is rarely the finished version of itself. Left alone for a few days, it gathers connections, sheds the parts that only sounded good, and comes back either much better or obviously wrong, and neither verdict is available immediately. Acting at once feels like momentum and often spends the idea before it was ready.

Write down the next idea you get excited about and deliberately do nothing with it for a week. Keep adding anything that attaches itself. Look again on the agreed day and see whether it survived your own attention.
