Dressing is one of the few things that is entirely yours, and running every choice past the group hands it over. What you get back is not taste but consensus, which drifts toward whatever nobody will object to. The small daily decisions of how you look are practice in deciding things without a vote. Doing it on clothes is low risk and surprisingly useful.

Wear the thing you like and nobody else has commented on, at least once this week. Do not ask first and do not seek a verdict after. Notice how much less of the morning it takes.
